Unapologetically

You.

honest documentary wedding films.

Never prompted, faked, or posed.

The Real is timeless.

I believe documenting your wedding is an act of love.  A way to let life reflect life back at us and remind us where we came from, what we’ve been through and what we’re capable of. It’s a way to say this moment, these people, this day It matters.

This is why I believe in truth-telling videography.

Our couples’ films.

In 50 years we want you, your kids and grandkids to look at this and say “wow, thats grandma & grandpa look at their family and parents and grandparents, look at how they loved - that’s them.” We think the Penticuff’s wedding film especially embodies this. Watch their video below.

My favorite part of our film was seeing all of our love nuisances in one collection. It’s so heartwarming to see your love the way everyone else does. I was feeling extremely thankful and very very happy.
— Kaytlin Penticuff (Bride)

You.

The person behind the dress. The loving dad behind the stoic front. A groom nervously waiting. An attempt to honor the person inside. I think Morgan and Matt’s film showcases this attempt particularly well.

(You) captured the day so perfectly. So real! I’m so obsessed. I’ve been watching it on repeat
— -Morgan (Bride)

Just be You.

A wedding isn’t a photo, or video, shoot. It’s not a chance to make you look “happy”, “epic” or “emotional".” It’s a special day where two people, alongside their family, choose to become one. Be exactly who you are. Thats more than enough. I think Kyle & Nicole’s Savannah, GA wedding film embodies this particularly well. By the way Nicole & Kyle are hilarious 😂❤️

Our biggest fear was feeling like we had to “stop and redo something for the camera.” We wanted to live in the moment throughout our whole day and that’s exactly how Aaron made us feel.
— Bailee Kopatich (Bride)

Near & Far.

From small town churches to the cliffs of Greece there is a story worth remembering. I think Hannah and Nolan’s intimate wedding week showcases this particularly well.

Our experience was fantastic! From the moment we met Aaron, we felt comfortable and connected from the start. We will definitely recommend Journey Home Films!
— Megan Hein (Bride)

Past, Present & Future.

Your standing there on your wedding day. Two doors stand before you and the next stage of your life. Your emotional and your dad can’t help but think back to every moment that has led to this. Yes, it’s this moment but of course it is everything that came before it; your birth, first steps, school, prom and now this. Watch the Wedding of Kaytlin & Logan.

He really went the extra mile to get to know us better and find out what is important to us.
— Holly Bruner (Bride)

I loved every second of it.... I loved the emotion you felt while watching our film. It brought up the small details, that over time, you may forget. Abbys laughter that fills the room, Nana trying to capture a picture with her camera, Codys smile while he is trying to hold in tears. The love displayed was overwhelming and it engulfed Cody & I. I will cherish this forever.
— Emily Niehaus (Bride)

Rain or Shine.

Will it rain on your wedding? Will the ring bearer throw a fit? Will your groom be extra shy because he’s nervous? The cracks are where the light comes in. Watch Valerie & Alex’s wedding day and see how their families turned some rain into memorable moments.

Why I Serve

Hi my name is Aaron Pea. I am the heart and soul behind Journey Home Films. Coming from a journey through shame, doubt and a belief that I could not connect with others it is the most rewarding experience to film the beauty in a person that they might not see themselves. It’s especially meaningful in an industry that is constantly feeding the narrative of not enough with carefully composed images of us being “happy.” Like you, I believe there is more to it. Every person is fighting a battle that no one knows about. To offer kindness and make them someone feel loved and valued is what keeps me going.

Lets Chat.

If our couples films and ethos resonate with you we would love to chat and learn more about how we can best serve and honor your family.

To give you an idea, our films collections currently start at $3,950 and our photo booths start $475. There is a discount when booked together. We are accepting submissions for 2024 & 2025.
