About
Me.

Through a journey shame, doubt and a belief that I could not connect it is the most rewarding experience to film the beauty in a person that they might not see themselves.

My Mission

I am the heart and soul behind Journey Home Films. Its my vocation to tell honest stories about people. Crafting wedding films has taken me to a variety of places in the U.S and out of the country. Although I love to travel, a love for the uniqueness in every individual has been cultivated in my heart. People always ask “Doesn’t every wedding start to feel the same?” I think to a line by Mr.Rogers

Nobody else can live the life you live. And even though no human being is perfect, we always have the chance to bring what’s unique about us to live in a redeeming way.”

Every couple, every individual, and every family is unique and special. It is so rewarding in getting to know a couple and making their story known. Like I said above, coming from a journey of shame, doubt and a belief that I could not connect with others it is the most rewarding experience to film the beauty in a person that they might not see themselves. Every person is fighting a battle that no one knows about. To offer kindness and make them someone feel loved and valued is what keeps me going.

On a Personal Note

I love to exercise, be with my close friends & family and goof around while creating things. I am an introvert so I definitely have to be weary of my energy levels leading into a wedding day. I’m very health conscious, I have been meditating for five years and its changed my life. The days leading up to a wedding I will most likely be floating in a sensory deprivation chamber.

I’m a tennis nut. I’m always looking to compete in a grueling tennis match. I was the youngest coach in Indiana High School history which led to six years coaching boys and five years coaching girls at Vincennes Rivet High School. If I couldn't be a content creator I would look into coaching tennis full time and teaching in some capacity. I love it.

Personal Projects.

Sometimes I can’t help but tell stories whether it’s through photo, video or writing. Some funny, some joyful and often times emotional. Sometimes I don’t choose the story. The story chooses me.

Here are some stories I have told.

An “Make-A-Wish” type of organization named “Granted” asked if I could tell the story of one of their wish kids named Braxton.

This video might be the most important personal films I have made. It’s my grandmother who is now passed sharing what’s on her heart. I wish every person could have something like this of their loved ones. It might be an older one but I am so glad I mustered up the courage to do it.
