"I Cried Everytime I Looked at You" | An Emotional Indiana Wedding

Outside of the bridal prep stood Brooke and her friend Amelia. I'm sure the big questions were circling Brookes' head. Is this happening? Is it real? How could I be so lucky? Little questions popped into her head too. Do we have a dance floor? Is the photographer's questionnaire done?

Just seven days earlier, Brooke and Ryan decided to go ahead with the initially postponed wedding. The countdown began. Brooke, her mom, and bridesmaids went dress shopping. Ryan helped get a large Harry Potter-looking tent set up in his cousin's yard. The family joined together multiple nights to put the details together. They contacted me, and I helped them find Kierra & Caleb of Kierra Josette Weddings (I shot their wedding a weekend later). Her mom Tammy also did a ton of planning.

It was all exciting, but sometimes anxiety can be a synonym for excitement. On the morning of the wedding, Brooke needed a breath. She needed a moment to center herself. Her friend Amelia walked in and put her arms around the anxieties that were there. She met them with a comforting hug and a loving spaciousness that would last the rest of the day.

I have two words to describe the rest of Brooke and Ryan's day; passion and family.

Passion
There is a reason why Brooke's vows said, "I promise to accept your flaws and accept you always, even if that means buying a whole gym while I'm out of the country." Passion. Someone passionate decides to buy a gym out of the blue. Someone passionate chooses to have a wedding seven days out.

The passion is also on Ryan's face. He could not stop crying as Brooke walked down the aisle. He put it best, saying, "I kept crying because I kept thinking about you walking down the aisle. Oh, my God. I couldn't even look at you hard."

Passion. Lots of it.

Family
The heritage of Brooke and Ryan's family was on full display. Each generation was represented. The kids played mega Jenga. The adults drank a couple of drinks (maybe a little more) and circled through the photo booth. Their parents socialized and wrangled their little kids. The grandparents sat back and took in all that they help create. It was a celebration of Brooke & Ryan plus a celebration of life and love.
