Logan & Kaytlin’s Wedding Video in Downtown Cincinnati, OH

Logan and Kaytlin got married on a picturesque spring day in the downtown Covington and Cincinnati areas. They married at The Phoenix and then celebrated, HARD, at the Hotel Covington.

Together they cultivated a day full of laughter, joy, dancing, and friendship—a day best described as love.

It took many forms. A best-man speech starting with "Hi, my name is Wes, I may be the reason Logan is not exactly a saint." The belly laughs following a Tik Tok attempt. The many looks from Logan's mother. Logan's father reminiscing about the time his wife walked down the aisle. The many deleted scenes of bridesmaids goofing around. A thoughtful gift from Kaytlin to her mother. Logan shaking Kaytlin's grandpa's hands after handing her off for the first dance. A gaze that seems to say so much and so much more.

On a Personal Note

The film starts with a newly married Logan & Kaytlin walking into the back room. Under the tears and "oh my gods" lays a peaceful, surreal score titled "If This is It, Then I am Happy." That's how I felt about that moment and these two.

If this was all, there was then they would be overjoyed. But there is more. Sprouting from this foundation of love with God at the center of their relationship (as Logan's mom likes to say) is so much more.

The film takes the form of this growing abundance building with the couple --> then family --> then friends with small moments breathing in-between, culminating in Kaytlin's procession and Logan's reaction with all their friends and family around them.

In the edit, I couldn't help but infer that this radiant love had to come from solid families, especially the one the Daryl and Amy had built.

It reminds me of the verse in Matthew 6:33 saying,

"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

That seems to be what Daryl and Amy did when raising their family. Hopefully this film will be a testament to this legacy of love. For that, I am grateful.
